Apr 21 – 22, 2024

This year, the Academy Museum will honor Earth Day (Monday, April 22) with screenings of films from Arctic Indigenous filmmakers supported by the International Sámi Film Institute, an organization dedicated to providing Sámi artists with the skills and economic opportunities to develop, produce, and distribute original films in the Sámi language. The two-day program is intended for families and curious film lovers and promises rich, nuanced depictions of the lands and people who live in the historic Sápmi territory of what today is known as northern Norway, Sweden, Finland, and parts of Russia.

Programmed and notes by K.J. Relth-Miller.
