Tactile Filmmaking Workshop: Direct-on-Film Animation
Make a camera-less movie by animating directly on 16mm film. Experiment with simple materials such as markers, tape, pushpins, and ink to create your own vibrant, moving-image collages on celluloid film. We’ll edit the individual strips together and screen them through a 16mm projector, creating a community-made film.
You’ll also use celluloid film strips to create a keychain to take home.
About Academy Museum workshops
All workshops are free with museum admission and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Museum admission is free for youth 17 and under.
