Norma Moriceau’s vivid costume designs for the post-apocalyptic denizens of the second film in George Miller’s Mad Max series incorporated punk and S&M motifs that helped create some of the film’s most iconic imagery. With daring stunt work and dazzling widescreen cinematography from Dean Semler (Dances With Wolves), the film had a worldwide impact and has been oft-imitated but never equaled.
