The Mitchells vs. The Machines

The Mitchells vs. The Machines

When DIY filmmaker Katie is accepted to her dream school in California, her technophobic father, with whom Katie frequently clashes, cancels her plane ticket in lieu of a family road trip. Little do they know their cross-country excursion will coincide with an apocalyptic machine uprising. Nominated for Animated Feature Film at the 94th Academy Awards, this adventure flick—one of Parasite (2019) filmmaker Bong Joon-ho’s favorites of that year—features an impressive ensemble voice cast and has as much to say about tech addiction as it does about the importance of family, no matter how much they might embarrass us.
