The Lion King

The Lion King

A young lion struggles to find the courage to fight for his late father’s kingdom in this beautifully animated modern Disney classic. Led by directors Roger Allers and Rob Minkoff, the animation team created gorgeous vistas of the African landscape and memorable animal characters, including the villainous Scar (voiced by Jeremy Irons) and the lovable Timon and Pumbaa (Nathan Lane and Ernie Sabella). Hans Zimmer won the Oscar for his stirring score, and three of Elton John and Tim Rice’s original songs were nominated, with the ballad “Can You Feel The Love Tonight?” winning the award.
