The Hateful Eight

The Hateful Eight

A group of strangers gather in a snowbound tavern one night in the years following the Civil War in this original mystery from Quentin Tarantino, influenced not only by classic Western cinema but by the TV Western dramas of the 1950s and ’60s. The dynamic cast includes Samuel L. Jackson as a Union veteran, Kurt Russell as a bounty hunter, and an Oscar-nominated Jennifer Jason Leigh as Russell’s prisoner. The final Western scored by Ennio Morricone, his brooding music earned him an Original Score Oscar, nine years after receiving an Honorary Award from the Academy for his extraordinary career achievement.
