Sleepless in Seattle is a delightful rom-com starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. Sam (Hanks), a widower from Chicago, moves to Seattle with his 7-year-old son Jonah, hoping to start a new life. Despite the effort, Sam lingers on, living under the miserable cloud of sadness. Jonah calls a radio station, determined to find Sam a new wife. Listening to the radio show is Annie, a journalist from Baltimore, who’s instantly drawn to Sam and Jonah’s story. Encouraged by her friend, Annie takes the risk of jeopardizing her wedding engagement and heads to Seattle to meet Sam and Jonah. Directed by Nora Ephron, the film was nominated for Original Screenplay (Ephron, David S. Ward, Jeff Arch).
