Veteran Tollywood filmmaker S. S. Rajamouli believes “the stronger the emotions, the more people love a movie,” which accounts for RRR’s dynamic, sprawling tale of revenge, love, loyalty, and brotherhood that unfolds over its three-hour-plus runtime and continues to draw audiences back for repeat screenings. Songwriters M. M. Keeravani and Chandrabose took home the trophy for Original Song with their viral hit “Naatu Naatu.” The film’s infectious energy inspires spontaneous dancing at boisterous screenings around the world and the film became a buzzy sensation on Netflix in May 2022.
