Return to Oz
Return to Oz
Walter Murch, the legendary film editor and sound designer, made his feature film directing debut with this visually stunning and boldly imagined sequel to L. Frank Baum’s classic The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Back in Kansas after her amazing adventure, Dorothy (9-year-old Fairuza Balk) finds that no one believes her story of the magical land, and upon returning to Oz she meets a new group of friends and is menaced by the Nome King—voiced by Nicol Williamson, and created by Will Vinton with Claymation, just one of the film’s Oscar-nominated visual effects.
