Embrace your Hair Love! Join us on Saturday, February 26 at noon for a book signing with author, Academy Award-winning director, and former NFL wide receiver Matthew A. Cherry. Created with New York Times bestselling illustrator Vashti Harrison, Hair Love was inspired by Cherry’s short film by the same name, which won the 2020 Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film.
Ticket price includes a copy of Hair Love and an opportunity to have your copy signed by Cherry. Only one ticket is required per book being signed. Additional guests and children are welcome to join, free of cost.
You can also join us at the museum before the book signing, for a story time and screening of Hair Love at 10am during our Calm Morning program. Visitors receive $5 off when both tickets are purchased in the same transaction.
