Kid del Toro Book Signing and Family Workshop

Join CHOGRIN, the author of Kid del Toro, for a reading and book signing followed by a family workshop creating mini monsters!

The Education and Retail teams invite families to meet CHOGRIN, author of the Lil’ Libros book Kid del Toro.

Enjoy a reading and book signing by CHOGRIN as he shares the tale of a boy who loves his monster books but must face his fears when he meets a real monster!

After the reading and book signing, join museum educators for a Mini Monster workshop. We’ll face our fears together by creating mini monsters from foam clay.

Bios

CHOGRIN is an artist and storyteller from Guayaquil, Ecuador. His imagination is fueled by his childhood, science, folklore, his family, and his friends. For the last decade, he has worked in the animation industry for companies like Cartoon Network and Disney. His artwork has been featured in art galleries and publications around the world. He is currently designing vinyl toys like “Guru del Toro” as well as writing, drawing, and directing projects from his art laboratory in Burbank, CA.

Lil’ Libros was founded by two mothers, Patty Rodriguez and Ariana Stein, who saw that there was a shortage of bilingual books for children. Their mission became to introduce bilingualism and Latin American culture through picture board books. Lil’ Libros was created to inspire parents to read to their children and encourage them to do so in two languages. They believe children’s books are seeds that when nourished allow for a child to turn their dreams into reality. Their goal is to make the world a better place by providing authentic stories that promote inclusivity and love!
