Slick back your hair and dust off your Pink Ladies jackets because “Grease is the word…”

Released more than four decades ago, Grease (1978) is one of the highest-grossing musical films of all time and a bona fide global sensation with legions of devoted fans across generations. For the first time ever, the film’s director Randal Kleiser looks back at the making of this legendary cultural landmark.

We hope all you T-Birds and Pink Ladies will meet us at the Academy Museum Store for a book signing with Kleiser, author of Grease: The Director’s Notebook.

Comprehensive and beautifully designed, Grease: The Director's Notebook includes all-new exclusive interviews with the key cast members and crew—including John Travolta, Olivia Newton-John, and Stockard Channing—original script pages, Kleiser’s own annotated shooting script, call sheets, storyboards, production notes, and more. The book was created in conjunction with Paramount Pictures and authorized by the creators of the original musical, Jim Jacobs and Warren Cassey (via his Estate).

Tickets to the book signing are $50 and include a copy of the book and a chance to meet Kleiser. We encourage all guests to dress in looks inspired by their favorite Grease characters.
