Gallery Spotlight: Conservation with Senior Objects Conservator Sophie Hunter

The Education and Public Engagement team invites visitors to explore Stories of Cinema, the Academy Museum’s ongoing core exhibition that presents diverse, international, and complex stories of moviemakers and the works they create.
Senior Objects Conservator Sophie Hunter will be in conversation with Manager of Public Programs Eduardo Sánchez, discussing Hunter’s work with the museum’s Registration and Collections Management team. Conservation at the Academy Museum preserves and maintains everything from paper artifacts to costumes to movie props.
The conversation will take place in the Netflix Lounge on Level 2, near the entrance to the Stories of Cinema galleries.
