The Education and Public Engagement team invites visitors to explore Stories of Cinema, the Academy Museum’s ongoing core exhibition that presents diverse, international, and complex stories of moviemakers and the works they create.

Enjoy a conversation with Vice President of Curatorial Affairs Doris Berger and Executive Vice President of Library, Archive, and SciTech Council Randy Haberkamp as we reflect on the Academy Awards History gallery in Stories of Cinema.

The Academy Awards History gallery features a timeline of the Academy Awards spanning from the first ceremony in 1929 to the 2020s, including many historic firsts for the Oscars, awards show stage designs, and memorable fashions worn to the Academy Awards.

The conversation will take place in the Netflix Lounge on Level 2, near the entrance to the Academy Awards History gallery.

If you have any questions, or need assistance planning your visit, please email museumeducation@oscars.org.
