Drop-In Tours: Unique Style

Drop-In Tours: Unique Style

Join museum educators on Friday afternoons to highlight the creativity of movie objects and moviemakers.

In September, our Drop-In Tours will explore unique styles of storytelling. Storytelling has always been a vehicle for self-expression, including, perhaps most of all, in filmmaking. Conversations with museum educators will examine the animation style of Flee (2021), journey through the cosmos through the eyes of visionary Ben Burtt, and explore the rule-breaking methods of John Waters. Educators will lead drop-in style tours that will spotlight ways in which these and other films and filmmakers have used their voice and style to create lasting impressions.

The museum’s temporary special exhibition John Waters: Pope of Trash opens to the public on September 17!

All are welcome to join these public drop-in style gallery conversations, free with admission, from 1pm to 3pm.

If you have any questions, or need assistance planning your visit, please email museumeducation@oscars.org.
