Drop-in Tours: Costumes and Characters

Drop-in Tours: Costumes and Characters

Join museum educators on Friday afternoons to highlight the creativity of movie objects and moviemakers.

A character’s identity can be transformed by the clothes that they wear, and they can become identifying features of who the character becomes.

Ring in the new year with drop-in style tours this January, as museum educators explore the Identity gallery that features classic-era costumes and a spotlight on costume designer Ann Roth, among other recognizable and detailed costumes. Conversations will also focus on costumes and characters highlighted in The Art of Moviemaking: The Godfather, the Inventing Worlds and Characters: Encounters gallery, as well as our special exhibition John Waters: Pope of Trash.

All are welcome to join these public drop-in style gallery conversations—free with admission—from 1pm to 3pm.

If you have any questions, or need assistance planning your visit, please email museumeducation@oscars.org
