Canola (계춘할망)

Canola (계춘할망)

Director Chang’s third feature film, Canola, centers on Gye-choon (Youn Yuh-jung) who reunites with her granddaughter who had disappeared 12 years prior. Canola delves into the deep sea of human relationships that overcome complexities of reality and swims through waves of emotions as Gye-choon and her granddaughter struggle to find the connection they once had. The emotional journey of these two characters presents poignant space throughout the film, in which we, the audience, witness moments of healing and the power of unconditional human connection.
