Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
Wakanda is mourning the death of its leader, T’Challa, only to face a new and powerful threat. The unexpected passing of Chadwick Boseman threatened to put an end to the Black Panther series, but writer-director Ryan Coogler and his collaborators came up with an inspired way to continue the story while honoring the legacy of its beloved star. Costume designer Ruth E. Carter became the first Black woman to receive two Academy Awards by following her Black Panther win with an Oscar for her new creations. The film received five nominations, including one for Angela Bassett’s commanding performance as the grieving Ramonda.
