An American Tail

An American Tail

In 1885, a family of Russian Jewish mice sails West to start a new life in America away from the antisemitism of their homeland. En route, they are separated from their son Fievel (Phillip Glasser). When he washes ashore in New York Harbor, courageous Fievel embarks on a thrilling quest to reunite with his family. The film’s smash-hit song “Somewhere Out There,” by James Horner, Barry Mann, and Cynthia Weil and sung by Linda Ronstadt and James Ingram, was nominated for an Academy Award and won a Grammy for Song of the Year.
