All the President's Men

Selected by the Marketing and Public Relations Branch. Special guest: Introduction by film critic and author Kenneth Turan.

The film version of the acclaimed non-fiction book about the Watergate scandal went into production less than three years after the original break-in at the Democratic National Committee offices, and the result was a thrilling, tense, and stylish docudrama that retells the true story with unusual authenticity. Dustin Hoffman and Robert Redford star as Washington Post investigative journalists Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward, and the stars are supported by an expertly chosen cast including Hal Holbrook as Deep Throat, Oscar nominee Jane Alexander as a key witness, and Jason Robards as Post editor Ben Bradlee in his first Oscar-winning performance.

DIRECTED BY: Alan J. Pakula. WRITTEN BY: William Goldman. WITH: Dustin Hoffman, Robert Redford, Jack Warden, Jason Robards. 1976. 138 min. USA. Color. English. Rated PG. DCP.
